  26.   The Internet is full of many high-quality publications about the net 
  27. itself. But surprise, surprise, like everything else 'round here they're 
  28. tough to find. Here's some guidance on what's out there and what's good. 
  29. Some are pointers to other net resources, some address broader issues of 
  30. the net. Some are free, some cost $$$. Be warned that some of these are 
  31. startups, which often fail to live up to their promise and publication 
  32. schedule.

  93. written, but worth $40 a year? Free samples readily available.

  100.   HotWIRED (Free): A shill sheet for Wired Magazine. Relentlessly
  101. self-promotional and pretty lame. We're addicts for the real magzine, but
  102. this weekly is a thinly-disguised press release. Blissfully short. The 
  103. editors promise us that it will soon become a "real" publication. Cyberwire 
  104. Dispatch will soon reside here.

  110. news from both the virtual and real worlds including topics like business,

  113. subscribers.

  140.   NETSURFER DIGEST  (Free for now): An interesting startup that crisply 
  141. reviews a wide range of net topics and resources. For example, one issue 
  142. discussed some interesting disagreements among the net.gods, pointed to a
  143. furious thread on anti-feminsim that had broken out on alt.mens-rights,
  144. and offered pointers to a few cool publications. It's in beta testing
  145. right now, so the addresses, etc., may change quickly. So may the price.
